Hypnosis and Weight Loss
Hypnosis is a condition in which one feels relaxed and focused on appropriate plans made by therapist. This helps the person in making his approach positive. One starts to think differently than the ways he or she used to. The mind is in the control of the therapist. It is not a state of sleep, but instead the patient is in developed state of awareness. The conscious mind is controlled in hypnosis and the subconscious mind is made to work. This subconscious mind helps to change the behavior and approach of the patient.
Talking about weight loss sometimes the person thinks a lot of loosing his weight if overweight, but he is unable to do. In such cases hypnosis has worked well rather than dieting. It just changes the thoughts of the person by implanting the thoughts of eating the nutritional foods instead of fast foods. We have heard about smoking cessation which is made successful with the help of hypnosis. In the same way weight can also be controlled with through hypnosis. For losing weight, weight loss hypnosis has come into account.
Hypnosis is just a way to change the mindset but until and unless the person does not try to make efforts in losing weight it is all in vane. For that proper nutritional and behavioral education is needed to for making better food choices. The hypnosis just gives encouragement to do the things accordingly but one actually has to work accordingly and put efforts so as to make it successful. Many hypnosis sessions are required, mere one session would not be helpful to any person.
When hypnotized the patient gets positive responses from the subconscious mind and suddenly would feel exercise, gym, and nutritious food a valuable aid for weight loss. People who are afraid of spending time in gym would suddenly change the mind and start going to gym without anybody telling. The changes that occur through hypnosis is steady and gradual. Through hypnosis the weight loss occurs due to change in food habits and behavioral pattern, which makes the weight loss constant.
Many factors are important along with hypnosis like eating habits, motivation, proper nutritional education, and behavioral education. One can change totally the food choices from fatty and oily foods to nutritious food. The person is able to reach the understanding and proper reason of his weight gain and can work upon that correctly. One can say that hypnosis is totally dependent on the willpower and motivation.
