Hypnosis and Weight Loss

Hypnosis is a condition in which one feels relaxed and focused on appropriate plans made by therapist.  This helps the person in making his approach positive.  One starts to think differently than the ways he or she used to.  The mind is in the control of the therapist.  It is not a state of sleep, but instead the patient is in developed state of awareness.  The conscious mind is controlled in hypnosis and the subconscious mind is made to work.  This subconscious mind helps to change the behavior and approach of the patient.

Talking about weight loss sometimes the person thinks a lot of loosing his weight if overweight, but he is unable to do.  In such cases hypnosis has worked well rather than dieting.  It just changes the thoughts of the person by implanting the thoughts of eating the nutritional foods instead of fast foods.  We have heard about smoking cessation which is made successful with the help of hypnosis.  In the same way weight can also be controlled with through hypnosis.  For losing weight, weight loss hypnosis has come into account.

Hypnosis is just a way to change the mindset but until and unless the person does not try to make efforts in losing weight it is all in vane.  For that proper nutritional and behavioral education is needed to for making better food choices.  The hypnosis just gives encouragement to do the things accordingly but one actually has to work accordingly and put efforts so as to make it successful.  Many hypnosis sessions are required, mere one session would not be helpful to any person.

When hypnotized the patient gets positive responses from the subconscious mind and suddenly would feel exercise, gym, and nutritious food a valuable aid for weight loss.  People who are afraid of spending time in gym would suddenly change the mind and start going to gym without anybody telling.  The changes that occur through hypnosis is steady and gradual.  Through hypnosis the weight loss occurs due to change in food habits and behavioral pattern, which makes the weight loss constant.

Many factors are important along with hypnosis like eating habits, motivation, proper nutritional education, and behavioral education.  One can change totally the food choices from fatty and oily foods to nutritious food.  The person is able to reach the understanding and proper reason of his weight gain and can work upon that correctly.  One can say that hypnosis is totally dependent on the willpower and motivation.

How To Use Conversational Hypnosis In Everyday Life

Conversational hypnosis sounds easy: talk to someone and “pow!” they’re hypnotized.

Well, although it’s fairly easy to slot hypnotic commands into your everyday conversations, you’ll still need to practice a little bit. Sorry.

The good news is that this practice can be while you’re learning. So long as you don’t sound too stilted when you’re talking to someone, they probably won’t know that you are doing your best to hypnotize them. So if it doesn’t work out, that’s fine.

It’s usually best to build up some kind of rapport with the person you are hypnotizing. So don’t just start your chat with something like “go into trance now”. Instead, make sure you’re both comfortable talking with each other. Nothing too heavy, but enough that you’re chatting fairly normally. You can research rapport building elsewhere but essentially it’s just a fancy name for getting “in synch” with the other person and not getting their back up.

Then you need to induce some kind of hypnotic trance. One of the easiest ways of doing this is to get the other person to imagine a place or an event. If you know they’ve just been away on vacation this is quite easy. If you’ve shared past experiences, the same goes. If not, pick something likely to have happened in the recent past - their journey to work, a television show you know they watch, that kind of thing.

Once our imagination starts working, its quite easy to throw in some hypnotic commands and it will work on them quite happily.

Commands can be anything you want (so long as it’s ethical!). You can introduce immediacy using words like “now”. “So think back now to a time when…”

Questions work quite well for embedding commands as well: “Did you ever think about …”

These commands can be positive or negative - be careful what you are saying and if possible avoid negative people who are consciously or unconsciously giving you negative commands - “Gee, this is like a madhouse here”, “That music is like a funeral march”, that kind of thing.

Once you start becoming more conscious of the words you are using, you’ll find it becomes easier and easier to use hypnosis in your everyday conversations.

What Is This Underground Hypnosis?

There’s been a lot of talk recently about underground hypnosis. But just what is it? What qualifies a hypnotic technique to be classed as an “underground” one?

Whether or not it’s applied to hypnosis, the term underground is usually used to mean something that’s either a closely guarded secret or a technique that’s a bit underhand. Sometimes it’s just used because it adds a certain mystique and therefore helps sales of whatever product is being sold - think of the edginess of some television and print commercials and you’ll already have seen examples of this.

Quite often, an underground technique is simply a new twist on an old method. Or a twist that is a combination of several different methods, increasing the power of each one.

One of the most famous uses of this kind of technique is speed seduction. The target market is young males. The pitch is that by using the techniques explained, they will be able to get more dates (and other things that go along with dating). The techniques work well - there are plenty of guys providing real life testimonials about their success - and are a finely tuned version of hypnosis and NLP (neuro linguistic programming) techniques, honed for this specific market.

The big thing to remember is that when you use hypnosis techniques on other people, you should only have an honorable outcome in mind. What goes around comes around and if you use underhand techniques on other people with the expectation of some kind of personal gain, you’ll only have yourself to blame when these come back to haunt you.

Conversational Hypnosis Techniques - Using Questions In Your Conversations To Hypnotize People

There are a number of different techniques that you can use to hypnotize someone whilst you are talking with them.

These are often called covert or black-ops hypnosis techniques but actually they’re out there in plain sight, for anyone to see. Which, of course, is why they’re so effective!

One technique that is used quite a lot is called “presupposition”. What this means is that the questioner pre-supposes (or assumes) that you are going to do whatever follows. When you think about it, that’s actually easy to work into a conversation. Or an article like this one. The phrase “When you” completely assumes that you are going to do whatever follows. Go back and re-read the sentence starting with “when you” if you missed it first time.

Another easy technique is to use imagination. Almost everyone can imagine things. Sometimes we have vivid imaginations, other times less so. But think about what it would be like to induce an imaginative state in the person you’re talking with. Maybe by asking them to “think about what it would be like if …”?

As you can see, it’s actually quite easy to phrase your sentences to turn them into embedded commands. You may need a little practice but that doesn’t matter. You’ll spot when your conversation starts to hypnotize the other person. Little signals will give this away. Initially, you may not always notice them. Sometimes a smile will break out, which is easy enough to spot. Other times it will be less obvious: maybe a twinkle in their eye.

You may well find this becomes easier over time. (Here the phrase “you may well find” is the presupposition).

Have fun working these and other commands into your day-to-day conversations!

Is There A Dark Side Of Hypnosis?

Near enough everything in life has a dark side to it. Hypnosis is no exception.

It is often called “black ops” or “underground” hypnosis.

Most practicing hypnotists act ethically. And if you learn the subject, you should be ethical as well. You’ll normally get further with your subjects and you won’t have that nagging feeling of worry at the back of your mind.

The dark techniques used mean that you don’t have to be placed under a hypnotic trance to be subject to “control” by the person working on you.

Usually you’ll be subject to covert messages in normal, everyday conversation. If you get asked an innocent question like “How do you feel about [whatever subject]?” then how do you know whether this really is a completely innocent question or whether the other person is trying to secretly hypnotize you?

The quick answer is that you don’t know.

But you can look out for certain tell-tale signs in how you react.

If the question takes you off to a distant part of your memory, there’s a good chance that it’s designed to do that. Especially if your “state” has been changed at the same time. For instance, if you start to feel confused after being asked to imagine something, that’s a good place for the covert hypnotist to then place a command or two in the next part of the conversation.

If they then start to say something like “You wouldn’t want to do [whatever], would you?” then that’s actually placing a command in your subconscious to make you want to do whatever it was. Our mind has difficulty processing negative statements, so it will process that sentence as though you want to do whatever it was.

Of course, it’s unlikely that you can be programmed to go out and rob a bank just with a few sentences. But there are plenty of other things you could have planted by hypnotic suggestion that could have a dark side to them.

Protect yourself from the dark side of hypnosis and find out just how easy it is to be hypnotized without knowing!

How To Hypnotize Yourself Now

If you want to learn how to hypnotize yourself there are some things that you should know first. The good news is that it is possible. The first thing that you should be aware of is that not everyone is an ideal candidate. Those who are skeptical or non-believers when it comes to hypnosis, are not good candidates. Neither are strong willed people who say that they want to make a change but really do not.

Trained hypnotists claim that their secret to finding out exactly how easily a person will be hypnotized, is simply to ask them to roll their eyes back as far as they can in their head. The less color of the eye that is visible, the more likely they are to be easily hypnotized.

In order to be successful at hypnosis you must work under certain conditions, you need a very calm and serene area. The room needs to be as non-threatening as possible. There can not be any noise in the room and there should be no chance of distraction. Put the subject (yourself) in a position which is most comfortable, for some this means lying down and for others it may mean just sitting.

Now close your eyes and just relax for a few minutes.

Your goal now is to put yourself into a state of total concentration. If you can imagine when a person is totally engrossed in a movie or in a book and they are oblivious to everything going on around them, that is your ultimate goal here, to have yourself in that state focusing on nothing other a single vision.

You must be completely relaxed, your breathing should be under complete control, and you have to be in a clear state of mind. At this point when you are calm, you will concentrate on slowly administering the purpose of the hypnosis. For example, if your goal is weight loss then you will slowly want to associate negativity with overeating and binging. You will visualize about good habits of making the right choices when it comes to foods, and associate negative feelings with eating when you are not hungry. Then, still very slowly, allowing time for this information to be absorbed, you will want to visualize about how great you feel and look, and associate nothing but positivity about remaining healthy and eating right.

This is all being sent into the subconscious mind when the conscious mind is moved to the wayside. The suggestive “imaging” or visualization is then absorbed and the subconscious mind has much more power than the conscious mind at this point. The most important thing to remember if you plan to hypnotize yourself to make lasting changes in behaviour, is to make sure that your mind is free and clear of all thought. Then, you, the hypnotist have to remain positive and nurturing at all times for a successful hypnosis session.

Although there is much more to successful hypnosis, and the possibilities are limitless, the above is a good place to start for most people.

Hypnosis Benefits - Is Hypnosis A Waste Of Time?

It is likely that if more people were aware of the great benefits of hypnosis, many more would seek it. The truth is that hypnosis can greatly improve people’s general well being so they feel better physically and mentally. Ironically, most of the questions that people have surrounding hypnotism are associated with the common myths that first labeled hypnotism.

During hypnosis, no one can be manipulated against their own will. This means no one can force you to do something that you do not want to do. Throughout the entire process of hypnotism you are awake and conscious but in a deep trance. For example, if in the very middle of a hypnosis session, if the hypnotist were to rush out leaving you unattended, you would not just lie there for eternity. Odds are that you would fall asleep but if not you would snap out of the trance by yourself.

The benefits of hypnosis are plentiful to be sure. Hypnosis creates an overall sense of well being and that is just for starters. Here is just some of what hypnosis can do for you:

-It reduces stress and anxiety
-Reduces pain
-It can control or cure psychosomatic diseases
-It can help control physical functions such as heart rate, excessive sweating and bleeding
-It can also enhance memory, confidence, learning, and concentration.
-It can eliminate phobias and negative feelings
-It can get rid of unhealthy habits such as eating disorders, weight loss, stop smoking, and superficial personality traits.

Furthermore, hypnosis is used for many more conditions and ailments, procedures associated with childbirth, the treatment of burns, it is used in dentistry, and also for treatment of TMJ. In many cases it is also a very cost efficient way to treat a variety of other symptoms and conditions too. Hypnosis also treats literally thousands of insomniacs each year. For example, did you know that even Tiger Woods uses hypnosis to assist him in cleansing his mind and spirit before his golf tournaments?

Hypnosis can offer you a way to live a stress free life. Hypnosis has such positive effects on the subconscious mind that it possesses the power to treat hundreds of mental and physical illnesses which are induced by stress, anxiety, and depression. Hypnosis has been around for around 3,000 years and in the 1950’s it was used for anaesthetic purposes. As healthcare costs are skyrocketing, many people are turning to hypnosis as an alternative to some medicinal procedures and for pain prevention.

Although in the past, this level of hypnosis had been practised only by qualified hypnosis experts, technology now exists in the form of mind entrainment audios that allow you to reach genuine hypnotic states simply by listening to a CD.

Hypnosis goes right to the root of the issue by bypassing the conscious mind and going straight to the subconscious mind. It is very effective and can bring you life changing benefits that you will be sure to carry with you throughout your entire life.
